Frisky Bison

oren

So I’ve slept on this one. Ouch. The ever reliable Tuning Spork release another track that aims straight for the gut, although this one has the added effect of scraping its nails ALL the way down your spine and back up again. Death By Sex indeed.

Meanwhile, I’m sure we all await the return of House Is A Feeling - let Ronan know what you’d like to see from him on his return (my opinion: more of the same).

Hugo - “Death By Sex” [Tuning Spork]

This new album from Gaiser is pretty lethal. Here’s the lead track, the most penetrating of them all. Absolutely blinding, i’m pretty sure Richie Hawtin blasted this one out at The End the other week.

I’ve also heard some ridiculous new sounds from Heartthrob as well - I really hope I get to see the man live some time!

At the moment my eyes are firmly fixed on the madness of two weeks’ time, when I’m off to Manchester to see Sven Väth, Marco Carola and Raresh doing their stuff at the Warehouse Project. It’s going to be off the scale.

Fed On Takeaway Mix Oct ‘07

mala educacion

I got inspired by all that madness at The End (see the previous post) and decided to make another mix. I think this one’s much better than I’ve done before. Some really fucking good tracks - especially the Michal Ho (Tuning Spork can do no wrong), Mikael Stavöstrand (can’t NOT include him), Maxime Dangles and Marc Antona - all the Ms. Two supposedly divisive tracks from Marc Houle and False too, but personally I think they’re just flat out ace.

So, this might keep you entertained if you’ve got 45-odd minutes spare.

FED ON TAKEAWAY MIX OCT ‘07

DJ Blaqstarr - Shake It To The Ground [Claude VonStroke Mix] [Mad Decent]
Dave Aju & The Invisible Art Trio - Be Like The Sun [Circus Company]
Samim - Forcedfeedback [Get Physical]
Michal Ho - Takeaway (feat. JonJon) [Tuning Spork]
Marc Houle - Techno Vocals [M_nus]
Michal Ho - Takeaway (feat. JonJon) [Rhadoo Remix] [Tuning Spork]
Mikael Stavöstrand - Q Fresa [Sushitech]
Ricardo Villalobos & Patrick Ense - Fizpatrick [Fabric]
Maxime Dangles - Agujas [Kompakt K2]
False - Fed On Youth [M_nus]
Marc Antona - Vitamin D [Micro-Fibres]
Jamie Jones - Can’t Believe I’m Still Here [Freak N Chic]
Tadeo - Fractal [Cray1 Labworks]
LCD Soundsystem - Beat Connection [DFA]

The Jamie Jones track is half of a hilarious 12″ from Freak N Chic that I highly recommend. I love these comedy RUOK knock-offs, partly for the humour but also because they’re actually pretty damn good.
